Virginia Simmental Association

Spring is almost here and that means it’s almost time for The Virginia Beef Expo. This year our annual meeting will be at Evers restaurant on Thursday April 17th at 6:00pm.Our guest speaker will be Marty Ropp director of field services with The American Simmental Association. Make plans to attend this meeting as it will be very informative for members as well as other producers. We look forward to seeing each and every one of you.

Please let Betty Campbell know if you will attend. Admission will be $15 for a great meal and a good time of fellowship. The Expo will run April 18-20 with our sale being at 1:00pm Friday. Please contact DP Sales Management ph. (859) 987-5758 with any questions or nominations for the sale .

On another note, I have included a picture of our booth at The Virginia Farm Show. We had a great turnout and a lot of interest in Sim-genetics. Just about every piece of literature we had was given out. Before I go I would like to give a special thanks to: Betty Campbell, Jim Bob Penley, Don Young, Alan Spivey and Samantha Maddox for all their help.
