The OPEN SHOW is open to PUREBRED SIMMENTAL registered with the
American Simmental Association and/or the Canadian Simmental Association. They
can show in the following classifications: Open Female Show, Open Bull Show,
Open Cow/Calf Pair class, and all Group Classes. All animals must be purebreds
in both Cow/Calf Pair and Group Classes.
The OPEN PERCENTAGE SHOW is open to 50% - 87.4% BLOOD PERCENTAGE BULLS AND
FEMALES ONLY registered with the American Simmental Association and/or the
Canadian Simmental Association. They can show in the following classification:
Open Percentage Female Show, Open Percentage Bull Show, Open Percentage Cow/Calf
Pair class and all Percentage Group Classes if numbers permit.
The JUNIOR HEIFER SHOW is open to PUREBRED SIMMENTAL females registered with the
American Simmental Association and/or the Canadian Simmental Association. They
can show in the following classification: Junior Heifer Show and Junior Show
Cow/Calf Pair class. All animals must be purebreds in the Cow/Calf Pair class.
The JUNIOR PERCENTAGE HEIFER SHOW IS OPEN TO 50% - 87.4% SIMMENTAL, females
registered with the American Simmental Association and/or the Canadian Simmental
Association. They can show in the following classification: Junior Percentage
Heifer Show and Junior Percentage Cow/Calf Pair class.
The JUNIOR STEER SHOW is open to any Simmental steer that will pass through the
sifting committee. Registration Certificate or a Performance Pedigree is
required to show. Registration is required to qualify for Jr Show double
premium.
PERCENTAGE GROUPS AND COW/CALF PAIRS: As long as one of the group or pair is a
percentage they will show as a percentage.
Complete the appropriate entry form for individual Bull, Cow/Calf, Female, Group
and Steer classes.
A copy of the entry’s Registration Certificate MUST BE INCLUDED with the entry
form.
Exhibitors MUST HAVE the ORIGINAL Registration Certificate for each animal at
time of check in.
All bulls fourteen (14) months (6-01-10) and older must have a certificate of
VIABLE SEMEN from a licensed Veterinarian, recognized technician or a certified
semen collection facility.
Any animal not having a legible tattoo or firebrand number is ineligible and
will be barred from showing.
All cattle will have tattoo’s checked in upon arrival by Thursday, July 29,
2010.
JUNIOR SHOW CATTLE have to be registered in Junior’s, Family’s, Farm’s or
Partnership’s Name.
The Junior exhibitor must be an authorized representative of the family, farm or
partnership membership.
ONLY JUNIOR, 4-H, FFA OR AMERICAN JUNIOR SIMMENTAL MEMBERS who have NOT reached
their 22nd BIRTHDAY prior to January 1, 2010 may exhibit animals in the
Simmental Breeders Sweepstakes Junior Heifer, Cow/Calf pair and Steer Show.
All Junior Show Cattle exhibited must have be recorded or registered in the
Junior’s name, family, farm, or partnership, before the June 21, 2010 entry
date.
All Junior Show Cattle must be exhibited by the youth in whose name the entry is
made except in the case of more than one entry per class, in which case a
bonafide junior must exhibit the animal.
Junior Show Exhibitor Substitution: the substitute exhibitor must be a)
immediate family of the previous exhibitor and b) an authorized representative
of the registered owner of the animal.
Junior Show Bred & Owned: The burden of proof will be on the Original
Registration Paper. Owner and Breeder must read the same with the same
membership number.
CATTLE RELEASED FROM SHOW: Your Judges Ballot is your release. Judges Ballots
will be handed out during check in. Judges Ballots will be accepted at the
conclusion of the entire show (not during the show). Upon receipt of ballot and
your name is checked off the list you will be released. NO BALLET TURNED IN, NO
PREMIUM WILL BE RECEIVED. |
