This low birth weight sire produced the 0313 bull.  He is solid from end to end out of a great cow family.  He traces to 131W three times.  RH 131W Lad 0024 is used in Missouri at Reynolds Herefords.

RH STANDARD LAD 0313 is a line bred we produced which is a sired by our 0024 bull and out of RH MARKETTE 034R which is a BBH MARK DOMINO 918 grand-daughter we raised.  This moderate frame bull is loaded with red meat.  He had a 16.01 ribeye measurement that adjusted to a 15.5 yearling score.  He also has the proven marbling our cattle maintained for many years.  The 76 lb. actual birth weight is another asset he offers, before we even start to talk about the many powerful cows behind him.  This is 034R’s first calf and she has proven to me already that she gives it all to the calf.  You will see that in her first heifer calf which is a 2004 sale feature and sale top selling female.  She’s powerful and has the look she might “out do” mom.  The 034R cow comes from a foundation line of cows that have done well for many years.  The sire side of the pedigree is also loaded with many powerful milk cows with great udders.  This line of cattle has a lot of guts to them.  I would say they have big fuel tanks that they can keep full of fuel to cover the ground each day.  If you don’t have a big fuel tank these days you won’t get too far.  This bull traces back to AGA 105 STANDARD 13IW four times plus many other great sires like SR MARK I J215.  The breeders that have seen 0313 leave many compliments????  He is a near fault free sire. The Hereford breed needs sires like this that are an all-purpose sire, strong female with good milk and udders, low birth weights, extra ribeye area, the thickness that everyone wants, with that show eye appeal.  Some breeders have already ordered semen and others will in the spring.  Owned by Reynolds Hereford and Lenth Herefords.

1174 is the get it done bull, this big stout made sire has it all. His dam is in my mind one of the breeds greatest cows.  She was the sale feature cow in the 2003 Oxley cow sale.  His daughters are crowd pleasers each fall.  Every daughter is the keeping kind.  The bulls have extra bone and growth with more ribeye area.  You will like the quality he sires.  OXH Sandman 1174 is used in Missouri at Reynolds Herefords.

We are using this young bull on several heifers.  He has been an eye catcher from the first day he was home.  He might not be the biggest in size but could deliver the biggest punch.  His sire is KB L1 Domino 1124.  Excellent feet and legs makes this junior herd sire “3261” very athletic.

This was our number one pick of all the bull calves in the 2003 Oxley Hereford Ranch dispersal sale.  He has a 90 pound actual birth weight, which is in our minds a good place to be with a calf born in the North.  This bull recorded awesome ultrasound numbers with an actual weight of 1350 a ribeye measurement of 14.2 and a marbling score of 3.0 with .26 on backfat.  His sire needs no introduction in the Hereford breed 8020, and probably has the strongest sire group of females in the entire Hereford breed.  He also ranks at the top in carcass traits.  The OXH CHRISTI 1019 was a stand-out young cow in the sale being purchased by Don Schafer, the son of Ranch Manager Bob Schafer.  She is sired by the high ribeye bull CL 1 DOMINO 5131E and out of a daughter of the high growth and performance bull B Starfire 61 with her granddaughter being an AHA Dam of Dist.   We feel this bull has power from many angles that help set the stage for a powerful breeding bull.  We await his first calf crop to hit the ground in the spring of 2005.  Having his first calf crop daughters calve in 2007 will also be another exciting spring in the Hereford business for us.  I strongly feel daughters out of a bull like this will make the next few years fun and exciting.  Don Schafer now owns a semen interest in 3043 and both Reynolds Herefords and Lenth Herefords own this junior herd sire.  His first calf crop was well received at our Fall 2005 sale.  Every 3043 sold with one daughter commanding co-top selling female at $1600.00.  The other two daughters brought $1300.00 each and two bull calves selling one half interest bull at $1400.00 and the second at $1400.00 these calves had only been weaned 46 days.

A product produced by the Reynolds Program. I have made the comment that he is the most problem free bull we have ever used, I still believe that.  His pedigree is a group of very sound, good milking, easy fleshing, slick haired, heavy muscled, moderate frame, very fertile kind of cattle.  His offspring gain very well on grass and seem to take less feed to maintain there body condition.  We are very excited about what this bull has to offer our breeding program and the industry.  I told myself when he was a two-year-old, if I could raise them all like that I would be happy.  He has never been fed very much grain, he was never pushed for show, he has always lived with a set of cows and survived on grass and hay, isn’t that what it’s all about.

LH Dsignr 048 and his calves are setting new standards to work from.  048 put the pounds on the scale with a weaning wt. of 820 pounds, a  365 day wt. of 1385, and a two year old wt. of 2320.  His calves at weaning time are grouped in the upper weight brackets. His mother LH MS Dsignr 414 is a standout in the herd.  A red eyed red neck medium to large framed with lots of flesh.  414 is an eye catcher. When she walks by you see her milk and her big thick butt. 048’s calves are mostly red necks, dark red, with very little white.  His calves disposition might be a minor problem, they’re to gentle.

This Homebuilder son that we raised is POLLED from his mother’s side.  His third crop of calves are coming in now (Spring 2007).  His calves are showing the most mussel and are approximately 50% polled.
