Chief is a low birth weight, mid size frame bull. His carcass qualities will add pounds and an unequalled amount of benefits that will put money in your pocket. His first son was the Top scanning Red Angus Bull at the 2005 Iowa Beef Expo with a 15.8 Rib eye, .22 fat and 5.14 marbling. His finest claves are making their mark in the Red Angus breed.

We retained partial interested in this young sire. His calves are just hitting the ground. They are very eye appealing and structurally correct.

Griffin Red Angus, established in 1978, has continually stressed all around performance in our cowherd.  We live in the heart of the corn belt where farmland can sell for more than $3700/acre.  So our cattle have to be efficient.  Get this less than 1ac./Cow!!  With rotational grazing and early weaning, our cows can make this happen.  We run about 125 Purebred Red Angus cows and 25 commercial cows.  On June 17th, 2002, we sent 41 head of our culls to harvest through Angus Gene Net in Grand Island, Nebraska.  43.9% Prime, 34% Amour Premium - same as “CAB”, 100% Choice.  Give us a call, we would like to talk cattle with you.
