Dear Angus Producers,
We welcome you to our 1st Annual Angus Female Production Sale. The
sale will be held on Wednesday, November 16th, 2011, at the ranch
three miles East of Onaka, right on Hwy 20, starting at 1:00 PM. A
complimentary lunch will be served. After all these years in the
cattle business, now looks like the best time in our lives to be in
it. With numbers at an all time low and export’s increasing, it
should be good for a long time to come.
After our mature cow sale and the feedback we received from it, we
decided to start an annual female production sale. As we have said
many times, “It doesn’t matter how good the cattle do at our place,
it’s what they do for you at yours.” The cattle in this sale will
not be over conditioned; they will be in the perfect condition to go
to work for you. I want them to do a great job for the next person
as well.

This is a great set of females with lots of production years ahead
of them. We have never changed our plan; we want cattle that are
powerful and are easy fleshing. We have worked too hard, for too
long to go back to little cattle that are not necessarily easy
fleshing. Size does not have anything to do with fleshing ability,
but it does with weaning and carcass wt’s, and that is where the
money is truly made. As a purebred producer we felt it was important
to know if our cattle worked in the feedlot. So we have killed our
own cattle in the feedlot and they did extremely well. We know our
cattle will perform at every level.
We are offering 19 Spring Calving Cows that had the top heifer
calves on them; the first 10 Fall Calving Cows; all of our Fall
Calving Bred Heifer’s and 20 of our top Spring Calving Bred Heifers.
We are also offering 27 Angus Cross Commercial Bred Heifers.
In July, we had the great fortune of having Jason Hyatt and his
family start working for us. His wife Richelle, son Bradey and
daughter Bailee are great assets and are doing a wonderful job for
us.
We hope to see you at the sale or just give me a call if you have
any questions.
Thank You
