Double R Cattle Co. was established in 1993 by Ryan and
Jim Ranes with the purchase of our first purebred Simmental cow. Today
we have well over 200 cows. In addition, we also work with two cooperator
herds to raise embryo transfer calves.
From day one our goal to produce phenotypically correct cattle with
above average EPDs has not changed. Our cattle are bred to perform on
Missouri fescue during the summer and limited supplement during the
winter.
We have relied on proven cow families to build our herd. Donors like
Queen of Denial, 47C, Nichols D93, Rhythm 765H and SAC Miss Jettop 15G
have been the foundation for our herd. For this reason our motto is
PROVEN GENETICS.
