Eastern Wisconsin Beef Producers and Promoters Meeting
March 11, 2008

Call to order:
The meeting was called to order at 7:15pm at Chissy’s in Waldo.

Review Minutes:
Reading of the January 22 general meeting minutes were read. Motion to accept was made by Ed Beck and seconded by Ryan Goehring. Accepted by voice vote.

Treasurer Report:
Karen reported the treasury balance was at $*****.**. Income from the Steak Out was $****.**, from tickets, food buy back, silent auction, raffle, Dino’s. Expenses of $****.** including insurance, steak fry, entertainment, video, donation to 4-H, Cabaret, and supplies.

Old business: The Steak Out went well and had good comments. We had a profit of $****.**.

Ozaukee Co. Beef Show: will be held on May 17.
Steve Rortvedt made a motion to donate t-shirt and $400 for the show and futurity. The motion was seconded by Dick Beck and carried by voice vote.
Garrett Depies made a motion to form a committee for futurity and Ryan Goehring to head the committee. The motion was seconded by Ed Beck and carried by voice vote.

New business: A motion was made by Ed Beck to donate $50 to the UW Platteville Block N Bridle Show. The motion was seconded by Kurt Schoessow and carried by voice vote.
A motion was made by Ed Beck to donate $160.00 in 8 $20 gift certificates to Alice in Dairyland. The motion was seconded by Ryan Goehring and carried by voice vote.
Scholarships: Steve Rortvedt reported that there were 5 scholarships turned in. Steve Rortvedt said he would head a committee to look at redoing the scholarship along with Jenny Kohlwey, Nancy Schleicher, and Kurt Schoessow.
Field Day: will be held at Rich and Evelyn Rathke’s on July 13, 2008.

The motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:30pm was made by Ed Beck and seconded by Ron Jentsch and approved by voice vote.
